For the three months to 30 September 2026, HCLTech posted consolidated net profit of ₹5,132 crore, a figure that stood 21.2% above what the technology company recorded in the same period a year earlier. Operational turnover climbed 11.5% to ₹35,620 crore over the quarter, with the IT services firm's artificial intelligence-focused business line posting a 78% jump against the prior year — reaching $219 million on a constant-currency basis.
New deal bookings totalled $3.258 billion, a figure that represents a 27% increase over the equivalent period twelve months prior. On 12 October, HCLTech published quarterly results that prompted the company to lift the bottom of its full-year FY27 revenue growth forecast, while leaving its operating margin target unchanged.
An EBIT margin of 18.2% placed HCLTech's operating returns through the July-to-September period. Compared with the same period a year earlier, the margin had grown by 71 basis points, and against the immediately prior quarter it had widened by a further 131 basis points. In financial reporting, a single basis point represents one-hundredth of a percentage point.
Profit after tax climbed 11% from the previous quarter, landing at ₹5,132 crore. Revenue for the period reached $3.724 billion, reflecting a 2.2% increase against the same quarter a year earlier and a 2% gain over the preceding three months when measured in US dollars. On a constant-currency basis, the company posted a 2.6% uptick in revenue compared with the same period a year earlier, while the sequential gain from the prior quarter came in at 2.3%.
Artificial intelligence at an advanced tier held its place as one of HCLTech's stronger engines of expansion. Tallying the quarter's numbers, that business line brought in $219 million — a figure reflecting 78% growth against the same period a year earlier and a 28.4% uptick from the preceding quarter, both measured on a constant-currency basis. Measured on an annualised basis, the firm's advanced AI operations were generating revenue at a rate of $876 million. Treated as a quarterly run-rate projection, the annualised number carries a narrower scope than full-year revenue and should be read accordingly.
A tie-up between HCLTech and Anthropic, designated at the highest partnership tier, is set to drive broader enterprise uptake of agentic AI capabilities worldwide. Aimed at organisations deploying AI at scale, the partnership centres on responsible oversight frameworks and weaving artificial intelligence tools into day-to-day business workflows.
Four percentage points of constant-currency expansion separated HCLTech's IT and Business Services arm from its Engineering and Research and Development division, which posted a 2.1% uplift against the prior year's figures.
After posting its second-quarter numbers, HCLTech lifted the floor of its FY27 revenue growth forecast to 2.5% from 1%, leaving the ceiling unchanged at 4%. Services revenue at the firm is projected to land somewhere in the 3% to 4% range of annual growth by FY27. The EBIT margin forecast band of 17.5%–18.5% was left unchanged.
Prevailing conditions in the operating environment were described by leadership as continuing to carry a degree of uncertainty. In remarks relayed by a well-known broadcast outlet, C. Vijayakumar — holding the dual roles of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director — characterised the prevailing conditions as "fluid." Shifts in how clients allocate budgets and structure contracts for technology services are adding pressure on the company, driven by the productivity gains that AI tools are delivering.
Fresh deal commitments logged by HCLTech across the July-to-September period reached $3.258 billion, a figure that stood 27% above what the company recorded in the same stretch a year prior. Of that sum, a deal with Mercedes-Benz worth an estimated $1.14 billion formed one component, according to available reports. Contract volumes across the opening six months of the year reached a peak the company had not previously recorded, according to its own disclosures.
A per-share interim dividend of ₹12 on equity was approved by HCLTech's board in relation to the FY27 financial year. Holders of record as of October 16, 2026, are slated to receive their distribution on October 26, 2026, under the timeline the company announced.
Of the 6,450 people brought onto HCLTech's payroll that quarter, 6,136 were fresh hires entering the workforce for the first time, the results documentation showed.
