Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy Welcome LIV Golf Defectors Back as League Faces Bankruptcy
Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy have both expressed openness to welcoming former LIV Golf players back to the established tours as the breakaway league faces Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Rose, who turned down LIV in 2022 and revived his career on the PGA Tour, said there are no hard feelings toward those who left. McIlroy outlined where he believed LIV's approach fell short while also noting that the disruption ultimately pushed the established tours to improve. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp has not yet outlined a formal reinstatement path for returning players.
