Anchor funding of ₹2,251.23 crore flowed into Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Ltd the day before its ₹5,012-crore IPO was set to open, with institutional participants including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and Nomura among those committing capital at that pre-launch stage. A BSE circular revealed that 14.91 crore equity shares were distributed among 99 funds at ₹151 per share — the ceiling of the offered price band.
Beyond the three cornerstone names of BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and Nomura, the anchor book drew commitments from a broad range of international money managers — Capital Group and First Sentier Investors among them — as well as sovereign wealth pools operated by Norway's Government Pension Fund Global and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Among the domestic fund houses that took part in the anchor allotment were SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, and Mirae Asset Mutual Fund. Among the capital providers drawn into the deal were insurance-sector names such as SBI Life Insurance and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
Shares in the offering are available to the public between 15 October and 19 October, with each unit priced anywhere from ₹143 to ₹151. Structured as two distinct funding components, the offering pairs a fresh equity issuance valued at ₹2,830 crore with a secondary sale of 14.45 crore shares being offloaded by current stakeholders. Priced at the top of the band, the offer-for-sale component carries a valuation of roughly ₹2,182 crore, bringing the combined fundraise to an estimated ₹5,012 crore in total.
Creovate Innovation, a promoter group entity, joins promoters Amrit Pratik Acharya and Srinath Ramakkrushnan as part of the shareholder group offloading stakes through the OFS. Four venture capital firms — Peak XV, Accel, Lightspeed, and Kae Capital — have committed funds as part of the round.
Fresh-issue proceeds at Zetwerk are earmarked for three broad purposes: clearing outstanding debt held by the company and its subsidiaries, funding buyout targets yet to be named, and covering day-to-day corporate expenses.
Zetwerk took shape in 2018 when five individuals — Amrit Pratik Acharya, Srinath Ramakkrushnan, Vishal Chaudhary, Ankit Fatehpuria, and Rahul Sharma — pooled their efforts to launch the venture together. Across seven distinct fields — renewable energy, electronics, aerospace, defence, AI infrastructure, oil and gas, and industrial automation — the organisation maintains an active operational presence.
Among the venture capital and institutional names backing the company are Khosla Ventures, Accel, Lightspeed, Peak XV, and Baillie Gifford, alongside individual investor Rakesh Gangwal. Spanning four countries — India, the United States, Germany, and Spain — Zetwerk runs 26 production sites it owns outright, while drawing on a broader network of external suppliers operating across additional markets.
Among the organisations drawing on its products and services are Siemens Gamesa, Acer India, CG Power, NTPC Renewable Energy, L&T MHI Power Boiler, DRDO, the Indian Air Force, and Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, while the company's operational structure divides into two distinct arms — a Manufacturing Business and an Ecosystem Business, the latter carried under the Terra91 brand. Civil infrastructure operations were wound down during FY26, forming one strand of a broader organisational realignment the company undertook.
Trading in the newly issued shares is scheduled to begin on both the BSE and NSE when markets open on 23 October.
