On Saturday, earnings disclosures covering the second quarter of FY2026-27 are expected from 18 separate firms. Among the names on the roster are HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI Bank, Central Bank of India, Punjab & Sind Bank, India Cements, and Le Travenues Technology — the parent company operating under the Ixigo brand.
Among the companies set to release their July–September financial results are Rossari Biotech, Bajaj Healthcare, Kross, Cupid Breweries and Distilleries, Midland Polymers, Indo Cotspin, TGB Banquets and Hotels, Gagan Gases, and Hemo Organic.
Analysts forecast that HDFC Bank's net profit for the second quarter of FY27 will expand in the low single digits, as healthy deposit accumulation — buoyed by FCNR(B) inflows — runs up against pressure on lending margins. These figures will mark the close of Sashidhar Jagdishan's time leading the organisation as MD and CEO, a role he is set to vacate on 26 October. Bagchi is the named successor for that position.
Forecasts from Kotak Institutional Equities point to steady bank profitability overall, with the private-sector segment on track for year-on-year earnings growth of around 20 per cent — a figure buoyed in part by a favourable base effect at certain lenders — whereas state-owned banks are projected to deliver broadly unchanged bottom-line results.
Axis Bank's net profit for Q2 FY27 is forecast to climb between 37 and 43 per cent on a year-on-year basis, underpinned by advances expanding at a pace of 20 to 22 per cent. Net interest margins face a projected sequential contraction of seven to twelve basis points, driven by heightened mobilisation of FCNR(B) deposits, even as the broader asset quality picture is forecast to hold steady.
Gains in technology shares, combined with a pullback in crude prices, lifted Indian equity indices to a second straight positive close. Benchmark indices wrapped up the session on a firmer note, with the Sensex adding 413.7 points — a 0.56 per cent advance — to settle at 74,729.27, and the Nifty50 climbing 148.8 points, or 0.65 per cent, to reach 23,146.15.
Among the Nifty50's top-performing stocks that session, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Infosys posted the strongest advances. Of all the sectoral indices tracked that session, IT-focused stocks posted the strongest collective advance, while oil and gas names absorbed the heaviest losses.
Among the organisations scheduled to release their second-quarter financials are Axis Bank Ltd, Bajaj Healthcare Ltd, Central Bank of India, Cupid Breweries And Distilleries Ltd, Gagan Gases Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd, Hemo Organic Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, Indo Cotspin Ltd, IDBI Bank Ltd, India Cements Ltd, Le Travenues Technology Ltd (Ixigo), Kross Ltd, Midland Polymers Ltd, Punjab & Sind Bank, Rossari Biotech Ltd, TGB Banquets and Hotels Ltd, and Yes Bank Ltd.
