Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Attacks DMK and AIADMK, Calls Both Parties Aligned With BJP

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay publicly accused the DMK and AIADMK of serving BJP interests, referenced the legacies of former Chief Ministers MGR and Jayalalithaa, and addressed recent AIADMK MLA defections to the TVK. He outlined governance milestones from his administration's first 100 days, announced the Annapoorni Super Six Cylinder Scheme ahead of Pongal, affirmed equal respect for all religions, and introduced the Singappenne task force dedicated to women's safety and empowerment.

On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay stated that the DMK and AIADMK align with the BJP's political agenda, and that his party stands apart from what he described as dynastic rule practised by those parties. He noted that those individuals had no intention of staying in a party willing to accept support from the DMK. Vijay then addressed the assembled audience directly, asking whether they would back those he alleged had been disloyal to Jayalalithaa and MGR, and describing the DMK as a harmful political entity. "Will you vote for them?" The TVK leader also set out the party's campaign promises, noting that several of those commitments had been delivered within the first 100 days.
