Via an Instagram post, four-time Olympic swimming champion Ariarne Titmus, who stepped away from the sport last year, conveyed her view that the content in question showed a lack of respect toward women who had committed themselves to athletic pursuits, as well as those who cherished sport for the values of teamwork, camaraderie, dedication, and personal achievement, according to media reports. Her journey, she noted, had demanded sustained hard work and physical sacrifice, with the demands placed on women in sport leaving little room for rest or relief.
