Netflix Replaces Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria with Peter Rice
Netflix has removed Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria and appointed former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice to oversee its global content operations. The change arrives alongside a round of approximately 1,000 layoffs, representing around 6% of Netflix's workforce. Bajaria joined Netflix in 2016 and oversaw major titles including Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Stranger Things before departing. Peter Rice, a well-known figure in the studio industry, will now lead scripted and unscripted series, film, and live events across all regions.
