Kawhi Leonard Returns to Toronto Raptors in Multi-Team Deal Following NBA Investigation
The Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers have finalized a trade returning Kawhi Leonard to Toronto in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, draft picks, and pick swaps. The deal, originally agreed upon in late June, was delayed by an NBA investigation that found Leonard and the Clippers violated salary cap rules. The Clippers were fined $30 million, stripped of five first-round picks, and owner Steve Ballmer was suspended for one year. Leonard was fined $700,000. Both Leonard and Ballmer issued public statements accepting responsibility and expressing a desire to move forward.
