Iran's Top Security Official Threatens U.S.-Linked Tech Infrastructure Over Strait of Hormuz Dispute
Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Maj. Gen. Mohsen Rezaei on Sunday described the U.S. response to Tehran's Strait of Hormuz demands as insufficient and threatened to target American-linked undersea cables, data centers, and artificial intelligence facilities in the region if hostilities resume. Rezaei valued the targeted infrastructure at more than $2 trillion. The statement was made amid ongoing U.S. naval presence in the region and continued nuclear and security negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
