India's Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal arrived in Milwaukee for the G20 Trade Ministers' Meeting, beginning a week-long US visit from September 29 to October 5. He participated in a business roundtable with the National Association of Manufacturers, met senior American corporate executives, and attended a reception at Rockwell Automation's global headquarters. Discussions focused on expanding India-US cooperation in trade, investment, technology, manufacturing, and supply chains.

Piyush Goyal, the Union Commerce and Industry Minister, touched down in Milwaukee for the G20 Trade Ministers' Meeting, launching a week-long programme of engagements across the United States aimed at deepening economic ties and broadening commercial partnerships between the two nations, with the minister scheduled to remain in the country from 29 September to 5 October and having been welcomed on arrival by M. Anand Prakash, the Consul General of India in Chicago. Planned engagements on the itinerary span business executives, venture capital figures, and entrepreneurs across Milwaukee, Chicago, and New York. Following his arrival, Goyal held discussions with chief executives and senior officials from prominent manufacturing and technology firms at a business roundtable convened by the National Association of Manufacturers. The organisation accounts for a substantial portion of leading US producers, whose collective output underpins a national manufacturing economy valued at approximately USD 3 trillion. Goyal drew attention to the broadening range of trade and economic ties between India and the United States during the talks. According to the statement, ties between the two nations had expanded well beyond traditional commerce to encompass investment flows, manufacturing activity, technological exchange, innovation, robust supply chains, and the cultivation of advanced capabilities on both sides. Corporate leaders from the United States outlined their perspectives on growth potential in India and identified areas where business collaboration could be expanded. Goyal reiterated his backing for overseas companies looking to establish a commercial presence in India. He also took part in a reception co-hosted by the Business Roundtable and the National Association of Manufacturers at Rockwell Automation's worldwide headquarters. He held meetings with trade ministers from fellow G20 nations and senior executives from American corporations. These appointments represent the opening phase of a broader trip designed to foster economic ties across multiple industries and attract foreign businesses to expand their operations in India.
