Game Five of the 2026 MLB World Series — matching the Tampa Bay Rays against the Milwaukee Brewers — gets underway on Friday, Oct. 23, with coverage carried across FOX and FOX Deportes. Heading into the title contest, neither club has previously won a championship, and both operate out of smaller media markets.
The Brewers entered postseason play as National League pennant holders following a 103-59 finish, the best record across all of MLB that year. They dropped only one contest across the entire playoff run, advancing through to the World Series. Among their results was a four-game series victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series — a team that had held the title for two consecutive years.
Tampa Bay finished 98-64 atop the American League standings. A Division Series victory over the New York Yankees set the stage, and a 4-2 series win against the Cleveland Guardians then secured a place in the World Series.
Of the three regular-season matchups between Tampa Bay and Milwaukee, one went to the Rays while the Brewers claimed the remaining pair by comfortable margins.
Viewers without a cable subscription can stream Brewers–Rays World Series matchups through any live-TV platform that distributes FOX, or by accessing the FOX One app directly. A no-cost trial period is available through the majority of these platforms.
