UN Expert Raises Concerns Over Sudan Investigation Committee's Impartiality in Documenting War Abuses
The UN expert on human rights in Sudan, Radhouane Nouicer, has raised concerns about the impartiality of a Sudanese investigation committee, noting that documented cases are heavily skewed toward RSF violations while far fewer involve the SAF. He also highlighted growing issues of arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, drone and aircraft strikes killing over 1,000 civilians since early 2026, and new allegations regarding the SAF's use of chemical weapons and foreign-supplied drones.
