Tata Technologies Reports 3.59% Rise in Net Profit for Q2 FY27, Revenue Grows 28.4%

Tata Technologies Ltd reported a 3.59% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 171.44 crore for Q2 FY27. Total operating revenue increased 28.4% to Rs 1,698.8 crore, while services segment revenue grew 33.9%. EBITDA rose 31.5% to Rs 273.3 crore with a margin of 16.1%. The company's workforce stood at 12,895 employees with an attrition rate of 15.6%. Shares closed at Rs 745.10, up 0.27%.

Posting a consolidated net profit of Rs 171.44 crore for the three months through September 30, 2026, Tata Technologies Ltd recorded a 3.59 per cent uptick against the Rs 165.50 crore posted in the same period a year earlier. Revenue from the company's operations climbed by 28.4 per cent against the prior-year period, reaching Rs 1,698.8 crore across the three months of the second quarter. Revenue from the services division climbed 33.9 per cent against the year-earlier period, reaching Rs 1,355.7 crore. Measured in US dollars, the services division brought in $141.9 million for the quarter, reflecting a 4.3 per cent gain over the preceding three-month period on a constant currency basis. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation at the operating level reached Rs 273.3 crore in the second quarter of FY27, reflecting a 31.5 per cent increase against the same period a year earlier. Profitability measured by the EBITDA margin nudged up 40 basis points against the year-ago period, reaching 16.1 per cent, though the figure held steady when set against the preceding quarter. For every ten dollars of revenue the company brought in, just over one dollar translated into profit. A headcount of 12,895 employees was on record at the company, with one in every six or so departing over the period, reflecting a turnover rate of 15.6 per cent. Tata Technologies' chief executive and managing director, Warren Harris, expressed confidence that the company would achieve double-digit growth across the full financial year, pointing to firm demand, programmes continuing to scale up, and a healthy rate of pipeline conversion as the underlying drivers. Tata Technologies described itself as moving toward a differentiated position in engineering and technology services — citing advances in product development, fuller vehicle-build capabilities, a broader aerospace footprint, and the integration of AI-native processes — while its shares edged 0.27 per cent higher on Wednesday, closing at Rs 745.10. Quarterly figures for the second period of fiscal year 2027 were released by the firm once trading had closed for the day.
