Supreme Court Clarifies It Has Not Adjudicated on Revised Form 6 Used in Electoral Roll Revision
The Supreme Court of India has clarified that it has not adjudicated upon the revised Form 6 used during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar. A bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant made the observation after the Election Commission had suggested in a press release that the apex court upheld the Form 6 declaration in an earlier judgment. The court also reiterated on October 5 that it had not approved any modifications to Form 6 used during the SIR exercise across various states.
