Russian Drone Strikes Ukrainian Train Near Polish Border After European Officials Depart
A Russian drone struck a stationary train at Yahodyn in western Ukraine, approximately two kilometres from the Polish border, shortly after former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, UK National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, and other senior European officials had departed the station on a separate train. No casualties were reported, as passengers were evacuated before impact. Ukraine's state railway operator indicated the diplomatic train may have been the intended target. The incident prompted emergency meetings in Poland, condemnations from European leaders, and renewed calls for additional air-defence support for Ukraine.
