Nestlé India's board convened to review second-quarter performance for the 2026–27 financial year, with consolidated revenue reaching ₹6,782.2 crore — a 20.5% increase against the same period a year earlier. After-tax earnings for the period came in at ₹1,026.8 crore, reflecting a year-on-year rise of 36.3%.
Sales expansion across every product line — spanning confectionery, beverages, prepared dishes, milk products, nutrition, and pet food — underpinned the company's quarterly results through higher unit volumes rather than price increases. For the quarter under review, Nestlé India posted an EBITDA margin of 23.8%. Spending on advertising and marketing climbed 46% over the period.
The company attributed its financial results to widespread consumer demand, continued investment in brand-building, and gains in operational efficiency, set against a backdrop of food inflation and rising raw-material costs.
Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary stated that growth across all of Nestlé India's product lines remained broad-based. He outlined continued investment in brand equity, cost efficiencies, product development, and portfolio renewal as the core of the company's approach to headwinds including rising food prices and raw-material cost pressures. Tiwary also recognised workforce contributions across both manufacturing and business operations, pointing to staff dedication to delivering on targets and maintaining product standards.
Volume-led expansion in Nestlé India's confectionery segment pushed growth into double-digit territory over the quarter. Both KitKat and Munch added to their respective market shares, with each brand extending an upward trajectory already established in prior periods. Sales of Milkybar contributed to lifting the overall category's numbers.
Household penetration held steady across the powdered and liquid drinks segment, where a combination of more accessible price points and a move toward premium coffee options drove volume numbers upward. Ongoing investment in the Nescafé brand, paired with efforts to draw more consumers into the category, contributed to those results. Sales across both online platforms and physical store networks increased at Nespresso, with the brand directing chilled coffee formats toward warmer-weather demand through the summer period.
Sales across the prepared dishes and cooking aids segment moved ahead, with Maggi noodles broadening their footprint by reaching deeper into rural markets. The brand pursued wider household penetration by highlighting local recipes and varied everyday usage occasions.
Sales across the milk products and nutrition segment expanded on multiple fronts, underpinned by ongoing investment in brand development and a deliberate reshaping of the product range. Pet food operations at Nestlé India posted double-digit growth, with online consumer outreach and a targeted approach to distribution channels both contributing to that performance. FELIX Gravy Lover, PRO PLAN Cat, and FRISKIES wet cat food were identified as notable contributors among the product lines that drove performance over the period.
Two of the company's manufacturing sites — Sanand and Ponda — received CII Food Safety and Quality Awards during the quarter. The Samalkha facility received a separate honour, the Nestlé Global Quality Award.
