Indiana Fever Fall to Minnesota Lynx 86-66 as Caitlin Clark Records Career-Low Performance Ahead of WNBA Playoffs

With a season average of 22.3 points per game — placing her third across the league — Clark recorded the fewest points she had scored in any professional outing. Things remain as they are. The group noted that the initial period had presented challenges. Clark wrapped up the game with 27 points and nine assists, later telling reporters the team had created good shooting opportunities that simply did not fall, and that dwelling on an off night from the field was not something she intended to do. "It affected our defense," White noted, with the Fever head coach characterising the result as an uncharacteristic shooting outing for her players and indicating the squad would extract lessons from it before turning attention to postseason preparations starting Friday. On Sunday, the Indiana Fever will begin their WNBA Playoffs campaign against the Las Vegas Aces, the title holders guided by most valuable player A'ja Wilson, with one player observing that those in your immediate circle serve as a source of drive. Speaking to reporters following the game, Clark stated that players without the motivation to compete at a playoff standard had no place in the squad. According to Clark, the playoff format leaves the outcome open because every one of the eight competing teams holds a realistic opportunity to take the title.
