India Opposition Leaders Plan Supreme Court March After Chief Justice Declines Meeting Request
India's I.N.D.I.A. bloc opposition parties proceeded with a planned march to the Supreme Court in New Delhi after Chief Justice Surya Kant declined a requested meeting with opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. The leaders had sought the meeting to submit a memorandum calling for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, suspension of the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, and a return to paper ballots. The BJP and Election Commission have rejected the allegations of electoral manipulation.
