Huawei put forward an expanded suite of networking products aimed at European enterprise customers on Thursday, 15 October, with the company asserting improvements in performance, cost-efficiency, and security across data-centre infrastructure, wide-area networks, and campus environments at a time when AI adoption is driving up demand.
Delegates drawn from across the industry — numbering upwards of 600 — gathered in Florence for the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe. At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, an updated version of the Stellar Intelligent Network Solution went on display, bringing together three component offerings — a data-centre-oriented fabric layer, a wide-area network tier, and a campus network platform — each carrying the Stellar Intelligent branding.
According to Huawei, the 100T switches deployed in data centre environments operate within a two-layer configuration that spreads network traffic across several independent planes. According to the firm's own account, the architecture can handle four times the network capacity while cutting the number of switches and optical modules by roughly a third.
The company's Network Packet Load Balancing algorithm, which Huawei refers to as NPLB, pushed link utilisation across the entire network to a 98% rate while delivering gains of over 7% in both AI training and inference workloads, according to the company's own account. Huawei's Starnet lossless algorithm, the company claims, pushes cross-region computing efficiency past the 95% threshold on wide-area networks while bringing private-line expenditure down by 60%.
A quantum key distribution board built into the hardware is said by the company to cut deployment costs by over 60%, though no reference point or timeframe for that figure was provided alongside the assertion.
According to the company's own figures, linking multiple access points through antennas capable of adjusting their beam dynamically cuts wireless interference across campus deployments by 84%. According to the manufacturer's claims, deploying the 10 Gbps campus networking hardware cuts total cost of ownership by more than 30 percent and holds average fault-recovery time to fewer than five minutes — though neither figure has been independently verified. The company puts networking performance at twice the industry average for these systems, yet has not provided any testing methodology or benchmark reference to support that number.
According to Huawei, on-device inference running directly on network switches allows the bundled security tools to cut threat detection time from roughly five minutes down to fewer than ten seconds. According to the firm, its wide-area security board detects intrusions as they happen and identifies threat sources with a stated accuracy rate above 95%.
Three product lines aimed at the small-to-medium business market rolled out under the Huawei banner: the Aura10/AR580 gateway range, S630 core switches, and AP362H access points.
Huawei's Data Communication Product Line president, Leon Wang, put forward the view that networks ought to be restructured around artificial intelligence — a position that places the company in a market where Cisco, Arista Networks, and HPE have been identified by a German technology publication as established players across enterprise and data-centre networking. No methodology was published by Huawei to explain the testing environment or the reference points against which its performance and efficiency numbers were measured.
