Houston Texans Acquire Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in Trade with Arizona Cardinals

The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals, receiving a 2027 seventh-round pick while sending a 2027 second-round and sixth-round pick to Arizona. The move reunites Harrison with Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, his former Ohio State teammate. Harrison recorded just five catches for 85 yards in four games this season with the Cardinals.

With Houston standing at 1-4 and trailing Jacksonville by three games in the AFC South, the team moved to add wide receiver Marvin Harrison — taken fourth overall out of Ohio State in the 2024 draft after a roughly two-season run with Arizona — while coach DeMeco Ryans offered a few terse remarks at the Nashville news conference where the move was announced. At 24, the player found himself on the Cardinals' inactive list that Sunday, unable to take the field while the team worked through trade negotiations on his behalf.
