Former BJP MP Demands Action Against Actor Imran Khan Over Mumbai Protest Participation

Former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya has demanded action against actor Imran Khan for participating in a Mumbai protest, alleging Khan is a foreign citizen. Somaiya wrote to the Joint Commissioner of Police seeking clarity on Khan's legal standing and called for his deportation. Khan was detained at August Kranti Maidan during the demonstration. Separately, over 7,000 protesters were detained at Jantar Mantar during a mass mobilization calling for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
